How Is Your Hope?

“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
We have an incredible hope. Many of you know that I’m a hopeful person. But sometimes circumstances all around us “get in the way” and it can be hard to hold on to that hope. It’s not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Hope is non-negotiable as we follow Jesus in this life. We all need hope, because without it, we’d give up.

Hope keeps us moving forward, especially during those times in our lives, that don’t go as expected. This kind of hope doesn’t come from ourselves, but from the Holy Spirit.

Hope is contagious. When we’re promised great things, we’re filled with expectation that something incredible is going to happen. Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”. True hope cannot be stopped, and it cannot be contained.

Jesus came to earth to conquer death and allow us to have a relationship with God again. Jesus gives us hope . . . this is Good News we can’t keep to ourselves! In our homes, in our schools, in our workplaces, and within our circles of friends, people are hurting and desperate for hope. Hope causes us not to get discouraged, not to give up, because we have something incredible to help keep us going; God’s promises in His Word, is key to help us keep our hope.

PRAY
Jesus, thank You for sharing Your Good News with the world and with me. YOUR LOVE really is something worth sharing. Use me Lord as your disciple to bring hope and healing to a hurting world. Help me to revel in Your story and to share it with those who need hope in You today.
“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.  Jeremiah 29:11
