Tick-Tock

Ecclesiastes 3: 1, 11
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven. He has made everything beautiful in its time.

When I think about time, I am always drawn back to Creation day 4 where our God of wonder established clocks. Night and day, light and dark; something for us to be able to count the days of our lives. He did this for us, no one else, for God is not limited by time or space. Scripture tells us that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day (2 Peter 3:8). As I am writing this devotional today, the Lord has granted me 24, 868 days or as the clock ticks...2,148,595,200 seconds. Wow!

The question in my mind is always the same. And I really think of this often, especially when I am officiating a memorial service. What have I done with the time the Lord has given? Today, the thought is, what am I doing in this season that He has currently placed me.

Trust me, it would be my desire, to explain to you all why God has placed us inside our homes, isolated, when our normal days are so fast paced, and time dependent. Many of you are watching the endless babble on TV looking for some indication as to how long, and for what purpose can we close a park, but go across the street and walk our dogs. Those questions have no answers from our government or health officials. Those answers are only found in the one who oversees every facet of my life, and your life as well. But my God told me in verse 11 what He is going to do...He is going to make everything beautiful in His time, not mine.

So, use your time, to seek His time, find ways that are fresh and new to reach out and
encourage others. Bless others, let your speech uplift those you encounter. Then you will see Him making something beautiful through you!
